Will you pay more for music downloads?
Delivery of "content" over the Internet was supposed to make it cheaper. Yet, as this piece reports, the major labels would like to increase the price of downloads by 25%.
So, we're going to have to pay more for the tracks that we can go out and buy on a CD, with the download crippled by DRM. Do we think this will (a) encourage people to download tracks using a "legal" music service or (b) encourage people to use the "illegal" file sharing networks.
